can fermented 3 grain scratch cause vent fleet? I think part of my flock has vent glee hens have the typica butts and are laying around not much energy 1 Hen i separated from the flock in a cage and feed her apple cider viniger fresh water and electrolytes and she passed over night.
Should I stop fermented feed which I thought was healthy and treat the flock with Epson salts in water?

The question I have is does fermented feed cause vent glee?

There's no way to really answer this question - too many variables on fermenting.
If the feed was moldy or spoiled, yes, it could possibly cause vent gleet - it can also cause a chicken to get sick or die.

Here are a few common causes of vent gleet:
-ingesting moldy or spoiled food-especially corn
-contaminated water
-sour crop
-unsanitary conditions
-imbalance of the normal occurring bacteria in the digestive system also known as the normal flora
-can occur after the use of oral antibiotics
-mating with an infected hen
