Hi folks,
Miss Brown has been very lethargic for the past couple days. She almost looks "swollen" and has been "leaking" from her vent. I tried cleaning her off about two days ago and trimming some feathers. Her vent looked fine then. Now this morning this is what she looks like. Not sure what to do to help her or should I put her down?
I don't know that it matters...........I'm not sure how old she is. She is one of five that I got from a local commercial egg farm. I ended up with a rooster when we bought some peeps to raise and everybody's advice was to get more hens for the rooster as I only had four initially. That is why her beak is clipped. (poor girl)

Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do.
