help!!!!! very urgent!!!!!! possibly internal pip gone wrong!!!!!

Hi everyone. I just wanted to say
Thank You to all of you for sticking by, for your concern & cheerleading. Im sorry I have left you all hanging all day. We had a yellow one on top, that really never even flourished. Then the black one underneath took up most of the space. We had been watching the yellows head, spine & eye for days trying to figure out where the beak was. She needed to breathe. As we were investigating, a pointy object starts to push out from down below, the pointy end. We had another head, the black one, AKA "Boo".
There were still So Many veins, everywhere, an intense network of big & small, which is why it was so hard to find things to begin with. We got his beak out, cleared his nares, he began taking a breath every so often.... we were just amazed. I still saw alot of yolk sac above & below so we didnt want to go too much further. I made a small hole near the yellows head so she could hopefully breath as well. 3am we put them back in the bator for warm up & rest.
At 5am, I couldnt wait to see them, ......
but they were gone. We believe the yellow one passed away earlier tho, maybe even a day or 2. I do truly feel awful about this, and I'm truly sorry. I feel heartbroken, I wanted them to have life more than anything. But.... I know that this was a very rare occurence. We had No knowledge of this beforehand. Their positions not only made trying to figure out positioning by candling very hard, but also in shell, it also made it virtually impossible for them to thrive, & to pip/hatch. I have gone over it & over it wondering what I did wrong, why couldnt I save my babies, but.... there was nothing we could've done differently.... they just were unable to both fully grow & thrive together in the shell in the positions that they were in. They were beautifully perfect, tho.... the top was solid yellow with big, bold eyes, & Boo was all black with white around his neck & chest.
I know we only know eachother through a phone or computer screen, but you all jumped right on & stuck with me to the end, even at 3o'clock in the morning! when you had your own life & work routine early the next day. Special friends through special circumstances. We are all a "breed of lovers", we love all that has a heartbeat.... & that is more rare & more special than most. I hope I've made some friends long beyond this.
So again, thank you.... thank you to all of you for being so amazing & supportive. :hugs:highfive:

*P.S. sorry if I'm rambling delirious & emotional nonsense.....less than 2hours of sleep will do that to you.*

I am so sorry after this whole week of trying to hatch a duckling it ended like this. You did your best it just wasn’t meant to be. From all I’ve read it’s near to Impossible to hatch twin in poultry. I hope you see this as a learning experience and not a failure. Hopefully next spring you’ll once again have a chance at some ducklings. Not trying to minimize the heartbreak of this week and the team effort. I know from experience as do many others here how sad it is when we lose them. Please stay close and let us know how your doing. And get some rest too! :hugs

Thank you everyone.
Now, right away I have to add to our flock. Were almost finished with their bigger setup (run). We thought we purchased females, so now that we have a drake in the mix (& a very "energetic" one at that, plus he is Twice her size) I dont like the 1:1 ratio. I have a Welsh Harlequin female, Pekin drake. Any suggestions? I dont really want to purchase from where I did before because there was alot of illness in the mix. I'm not too worried about major egg laying because I dont have a connection yet on selling them, so I have way too many already. Should I get ducklings or older ducks & what would make the introduction & integration easier for all? Thanks in advance.

Yes maam, its definately been rough. But I admit I get way too attatched & way too emotional. I feel honored for being able to experience such a rare occurrence, but feel ashamed I couldnt at least save 1. But...... I'll move on. I know that they were in an impossible position. At 1st I said I'd never do it again, but I think with more preparation this time, (& more obvious experience:hit) we can be successful. I cant wait to see more little ducklings running around.:jumpy

This time of year unless you want ducklings in the house for 7-8 weeks you may want to go with adults try craigslist or pet finder or shelter maybe even in your area or close enough for a day trip there maybe a water fowl rescue or farm animal rescue. Then when you find some bring them home and do see not touch for a week or so. May not even take that long. This time of year mating is at its lowest and a good time to introduce.

Ok, great, thanks. Our drake, Max...... tries nonstop. I cant even let them swim together unless I'm right there every second. I just dont want her to get hurt, or get "too much". I definately want to add some new breeds to our family, but for right now, do you think I should stick with the same? (W.H. or Pekin) Wasnt sure if it would make a difference or not.

Does not make any difference as long as you stay with the larger size. Pekin drakes can sure be horny little toads so your right in keeping him from over doing with your WH. Keeping at least 3 females and up usually keeps them from over breeding just one. I say low end 3 but if you can have 4-5 females that’s even better.

I wouldn't put my little runners with a pekin drake. They are just too small to handle a big boy like that! Dang, I had enough problems with my little chocolate drake and 6 girls! They didn't have any neck feathers in the hight of the mating season so I had to put him in time out!
