Now THATS a hole! I don't have any pictures of the membrane when it was all white and dry but this was the progression I had to go through. It was breech. Your's isn't I don't think. I couldn't figure out where the head was until near the end.

Wow!!! So, I'm pretty positive I see veins. It's a whitish tint, but looks translucent almost? I tried to get a close up but theres just no way.

Hi there, I'm trying to scan through and catch up here.
We just had our 1st hatch just over a week ago and it sure was stressful. By the end I couldnt see them moving because the egg was so full and then they decided to hatch early.
So there was an internal pip which wasnt supposed to happen for days...anyway, I kept thinking I was doing the wrong thing or should I be helping?
There is a good article on here that helped with detailed pictures, it's long but you can skip ahead to the sections you need.

Thank you so much..... I truly appreciate it.

Before I give any advice let me just say we have only hatched eggs once, there are much more knowledgeable people on here.
The pics you posted this morning candling the eggs look like our eggs did as well and if your seeing movement thats good too.
I took notes each day with our eggs. Within a short 12 hour period the air cell doubled in size and the same day saw a shadow in the air cell area. The same day we could see the bill in the air cell. External pip was the next morning but still didnt hatch until the next evening.
Everything seemed to take forever! I just kept telling myself not to help so as not to cause more harm than good...but man it was hard not to.
As long as your humidity is good I wouldnt think the membrane would dry out.
I had also watched a ton of hatching videos online and all the ducklings seemed to make lots of sound, I occasionally heard a few peeps but our babies were really quiet.
