HELP VERY WORRIED NEED ADVICE

It sounds like you are speaking of wood lice or affectionately called "rollie pollie bugs." These are not those. Wood lice will not harm chickens.
As for what they are im not sure but i know ive seen them before
That could be. But, I'm quite sure these particular ones pictured above are what I've had around. I think the ones you're talking about may be smaller and have a harder exoskeleton? I should snap a pic next time I see them!

I've never given it much thought but that makes so much sense. Those flies come from somewhere 🤢

Yeah the flies almost look like little black wasps. But they're pretty harmless. Ppl pay good money for those nasty things too lol.
They keep em cups in a fridge at Petco for sale.

Actually I reread the first post. I have them every year too. They fall out of my compost tumbler. I collect them and feed them to my quail, fish, and my friends bearded dragon
I've had them in my compost too...also in my garage...I thought they were horsefly larvae at the time. shudders :sick

I've seen these guys(usually in dark wet places)under logs, and under buildings. I think they eat mold and wet wood. I wouldn't be surprised if they pose no threat to your hens, I've had them in my shed before and never had a problem. Usually a good cleaning of the area and making sure bedding and chicken area is dry will take care of the problem. Again, just my experience with them.
Best of luck!
Where they r is sheltered the only wet in it would b if a bird spilt a bit of water and even then they r all cleaned every day if not every second day
