Help! We need ideas for the run

Thanks again for all the suggestions. I can see how creating a "door" on the ramp side into the run will work and am beginning to visualize our humongous task for this weekend!

@KybraBos - I love the idea for the cat run! One of my cats was hit by a car a few years ago and I am too afraid to let my current cats out. I know my kitties would love a screened in area to breathe the fresh air and pretend to be feral. I'll think about that while we're at the run. Thanks for the notion!

My run is 60ft long and 12ft wide,we are buidling another one right beside it as the chickens have no grass in the one they are in now,so I would like to change runs so I can keep a little grass in each plus free range some to.This is a picture of the front of the coop, the little one is for my silkies.

I have 30 big chickens in the big run and coop and five in the silkie coop and two silkie roosters in between both coops in a small run waiting for free homes(nobody wasts free roosters)I have four buff orpingtons and two favorolles chicks in the big coop in a brooder dh made for me and have four orpinton chicks comming next Monday which I hope I can slip under my sexling that went broody for the first time so I don`t have to raise them.

Thanks for all the suggestions!

We did build the run off the side with the ramp. It's a small run, but we have a small space. We have pictures on our blog if you're interested in seeing the end result.

Yes, you need to do this!! Just yesterday I put one of my pullets in a temp. pen covered with 2 x 4 wire PLUS chicken wire. I couldn't believe it when the bird got between the wire and
a wood pile and my terrier went for her through the fencing. The dog was able to grab some wing feathers and was trying to pull her through. She couldn't have gotten the chicken through
the wire, but had I not been right there she would have probably chewed up her wing pretty good. Chicken wire is pretty much worthless!!!
