I’ve attached two pictures. When I went out to open up my hens this morning, I found this weird egg string in their sandbox. They have always laid in their nesting box, so the location itself is unusual. Details: we have two hens, and they both laid yesterday. Just about a year old; Cochin and Brahma. The Brahma is laying every day and the Cochin is laying every 2 or 3 days because of the heat (Southeaster Wisconsin). I’m not sure who laid this egg. To describe the photo: soft shelled egg that busted to reveal yolk and a bit of blood, and it’s connected to another smaller soft shelled egg that busted and revealed more blood. Please let me know what this means!
