i think so, do you have a nice dog crate for her to stay clean and dry but put it where she can see and hear the others? let’s tag others for help @Miss Lydia @Luv DucksI do have 3 other ducks he/she is picking it at bad I haven’t seen another duck mess with it…should I separate them?
Thank you, I got the spray and applied ointment. Donut (the duck with the raw skin) will not leave it alone I’ve been watching very closely and none of the other ducks are messing with it. Could it be because it recently just got it feathers? Or what would cause this in very worried.:/i think so, do you have a nice dog crate for her to stay clean and dry but put it where she can see and hear the others? let’s tag others for help @Miss Lydia @Luv Ducks
Have you looked for mites? they will be black and smaller than a pepper flake . They are very fast too. Ducks don't usually get external parasites if they have a way to wash in a pool etc.Thank you, I got the spray and applied ointment. I didn't say she must have mites but it is something that the OP can check pretty quickly and eliminate as the problem.I have never had a duck pick on itself like this. I would separate her and possibly put that blu coat on it that is supposed to stop pecking and picking on themselves possibly. I agree with Miss Lydia, she must have mites or something in order to be picking at herself. Good luck in getting her better soon.
