HELP WHAT DO I DO WITH CHICKS ONCE THEYVE HATCHED

ok so i started off with 17 eggs and now i have 13 bc 4 we're infertile . so far i think i can see 5 hatched and i want to get them out bc they're crowding the incubator and knocking over other eggs. i can't tell if any other egg has pipped what do i do ?

You can open the incubator and take them out- as long as they've dried and fluffed up a bit. Just try to be quick about it so the humidity doesn't drop too much The others will be fine.

Leave the other eggs as you were for two or three more days as I expect others will still hatch.

MY incuabtor I take hot water and put some hot water in the sponges I have in the incubator after I take the chicks out to get the humidity back up.
As the chicks dry and fluff up I remove them.

Once the chicks that hatched are dry and fluffy, remove them (carefully!) from the incubator and put them in another enclosure with water, chick feed, and a heat source. Give the other eggs that have yet to hatch another 2-4 days and then you can candle them if they still haven't hatched.
Make sure you dip the chicks beaks in the water so they know where it is.

I hatch out a few hundred chicks every year. I have tried many different things. I recently had a couple of hatches and another due soon. I'm putting the last batch of eggs in the incubator today. A broody will usually get off of her eggs at least once a day to eat, drink and poop. She may be off the nest for a few minutes or several minutes. I have left chicks in the hatchers and let them dry in there but I have also taken them out soon after they have hatched and put them in what I call a dry box for them to dry in before I put them in the brooder and I have put some directly in the brooder from the hatcher. I have had no issues with any way I tried. I have also used a mister and when I have taken the chicks out of the hatcher misted the rest of the eggs which will also bring the humidity back up quicker. Once chicks hatch the humidity will go up considerably but will stable out as the chicks dry. I rarely dip the chicks beaks in water but they usually find it ok. Chicks are curious and as with most they are curious and will discover the water and the feed. I do put some of their crumbles on paper towels I put down for the first day or two while they are finding out how to use their legs and feet. Initially to me, they walk like little penguins until they figure it out. I hope your hatch was successful. Good luck and have fun...
