Help! What do I have here?

I got this little beauty in a box of assorted bantams at Tractor Supply about 2-3 weeks ago. What do I have?

Difficult to say at that age. Its legs are yellow, so that rules out Old English Game and Dutch bantam. Maybe a brown Leghorn or Welsummer bantam?

The eye stripe doesn't look heavy enough to be Welsumer or Sussex.

That large of a comb that early has me thinking cockerel... were they straight run? If you know which hatchery they order from... checking their site to see what breeds they have is often helpful.

I am thinking cockerel as well. Not sure about breed though, maybe post again when it is older and has more feathers and we will have better guesses.

Yes. It was a straight run. My son just fell in love with this particular chick. The only straight run we risked thankfully because I think its a cockerel too, but he hopefully calls it Penny .

His feet don't quite look yellow to me.

Looks like you have a Silver Duckwing Old English Game bantam cockerel. Boy, that was a mouthful!

Definitely a cockerel. I guess he could be hatchery quality silver duckwing Old English game bantam. His legs look very yellow to me.
