I am new to chickens and not sure what is going on with my girls. For the last two weeks I occasionally hear some girls making like a cough or sneeze, I’m not sure. It kind of sounds like a squeaky honk. I don’t know how else to describe it. They are all acting normal. Any ideas? How or what should I treat them with? TIA.

They could be sneezing. Video uploaded to YouTube Or Vimeo with a link here may help. Sneezing can occur during feeding from dust in feed or in the coop, or other environmental issue. If it occurs throughout the day every few minutes, and if there is drainage from nostrils, it may be a respiratory disease. Look also for any bubbles in an eye, eyelid swelling, or gasping.

👆I agree 100%. Also if it is a respiratory issue, there could be a quieter wheezy, whistle type noise associated with it. Sounds cute at first, then you’re like, what is that?
