Help, what is this on my chick?

Hello, finished cleaning my chicks pasty butts and noticed one of my chicks has a bloody black thing on her bottom? She is picking at it...what is it? What should I do?

I can't tell for sure from your pic, but it looks like her navel. That's where the cord was attached when she was in the egg. I had a similar thing with one of my chicks once. It healed up within a few days.

didn't quite seal up all the way before she hatched. it happens. don't worry too much.
