HELP! What is this red spot on my hen?

I just gave my hen ruby a bath in this picture and this red spot showed up nice in the picture which I was hoping for. A lot of my hens have these spots on there sides. I don't know if it's just getting sunburnt when there out roaming in the pasture or what. I can't figure it out and I was hoping someone else would have an idea? I don't want her to suffer. I have put neosporin and pinetar on areas but they still have them. I would really appreciate anyone thoughts? Is that normal for there skin to be that way?

Sorry, I looked but can't tell. It doesn't look like there's any broken skin, so perhaps it is just sunburn. Hope someone comes along with more help than me.

how old are they ? some hen's get like this when they are molting and it my also be some sort of mite's or flea's.....iff everysingle one of your hen's has it then it has to be something causing it but if a few have it then i would put them separte untill you find out what it is.....

i may sound crazy but how often do you bath them ? and what kind of soap do you use ?

That is the first time I ever bathed her and i just used a real light amount of dawn soap.The others pick her feathers off her now and then I thought it might make her start to molt took get some new feathers. I bathed for the first and only time my light brahma hen because she was a brooder and smelt so bad from having crushed egg all over her and it made her chest molt and into a entirely different color. Weird! I'll check but I don't think they all have it. I've never seen any mites or lice or anything on them but that don't mean there isn't. How would I know if there is any mites ect.?We have pine shavings in there coop and grass and hay mixture in there nest boxes and straw out in there pen. Thanks for all the input you all!
