Help!! What to feed a baby peacock??

Hello everyone,

I am new to this whole peacock thing. The place I am living at has one full grown male and three females. Someone arrived with two baby white. 1 was two weeks old and the other one was right out of the incubator, long story short the one out of the incubator died leaving the baby white alone. I have now become its (how could you say) its other play mate. I haven't slept for 6 nights and he wont sleep unless its with me. Help.
Maybe I should buy another little white? , is their anyone who has any baby whites for sale?
Looking forward in hearing from some of you more experienced than I.
Thank you,
Carol

Hi Carol, let us know where you are at. I have baby whites available, but I am in PA so if you are in WA that won't be much help.

I appreciate your reply. I guess that you don't ship do you? I hate the thought of shipping a baby peacock but I don't know what else to do. I am in Utah, but still along way from being, just around the corner!
I'll keep posting to see if anyone can ship one?
Thank you very much and have a fantastic day!

I think it may be to hot to ship babies , i know i can't get mine till close to Christmas, perhaps someone here will be close to you or know someone that is.

Shipping in this weather would be risky, heat can kill a chick quickly. If you cannot find any chicks locally, perhaps consider a chicken chick. It would work just fine to keep the pea company and maybe you could find a home for it when the Pea is big enough to join the others. In the meantime perhaps a stuffed animal might buy you a little sleep. Keep us posted and
