Help whats up with these dark spots on feet and leg

Does she walk normally, and what type of bedding is she on? Her feet look infected like she has a bacterial infection, similar to bumblefoot. Fowl pox sometimes affects the feet causing lesions (see picture below,) and Mareks disease sometimes causes skin lesions. Here is a link to read about bacterial infections of the feet and legs:

Walks normal. The spots are not soft or different texture than her other knuckles. We believe we have lost 2 birds to Mareks. I sent in to state to have tested and have heard nothing back, Its been 3 months.

One of the 4 types of Mareks is the cutaneous type that affects the skin, causing tumors. I would call your state vet Monday, since they should have gotten back to you long ago. Most people get a preliminary report within a week or two, plus a final report. Many times they can't positively identify Mareks without extra testing and $$$. Help any more ideas? Spots don't seem sore or lesions like.

I think cutaneous Marek's is tumors of the feather follicles. This looks more like Bumblefoot , or some kind of staph infection. It might help to put him on antibiotics because if it's on his face too, it's probably systemic.

In relation to Marek's, if your chickens are exposed, they are super vulnerable to all kinds of opportunistic cocci and bacteria. I had a rooster last year that got continuous bumblefoot, at one point 5, and hobbled around, was skin and bones, and I had the vet euthanize him. I just didn't feel like torturing the poor thing by cutting into more and more bumbles. His immune system was totally shot by Marek's exposure.
