HELP! What's wrong with my Houdan chick!?

Here is a brief update on Oreo.. newly renamed since she seems to be one tough cookie! She is hanging in there. Neosporin on the affected area under the wing. Little bits of applesauce and yogurt spoon fed to keep her going. Electrolites which she seemed to know she needed. An antibiotic from the local feed store. I was amazed when I came home from work the first day and she was still alive after the report I had been given. I was even more surprised when she survived the night. We ran out and got all the necessary supplies to get her well. She ate a lot of applesauce/yogurt last night and gulped down the electrolites. Today although still very wobbly she is attempting to stand on her own and is eating small bits of chicken feed. She is incredibly better than she was two days ago,she has resumed her chirping, and is alert more often, but she has a long way to go. I have to say she has impressed me with her determination. Thank you for the advice!!!!

I'm glad that your Houdan is on the mend.

Sometimes things work out well if the condition is caught in time.

I hope that you find out how she got that wound as you don't need a repeat.
