When do you make the decision to take out eggs that you really can't see anything in them?
We are on day 7 today. I candled last night.. some have veins/embryo in them (but not many), others seem pretty clear and others have an air sac but it moves around to the top of the egg. I would hate to take out an eggs and throw it away if it actually had a chick growing in it. But I am very new at this and am not sure what to do
Thanks

i would wait another week then candle again the eggs that dont look good pitch them the ones with the floating airsac sounds bad though

This hatch was a bad hatch for me and I threw out any obvious clears at Day 7 and then again at Day 14 and out of 40 eggs I have 10 in lockdown.

However if this is your first hatch I would wait until around Day 14 to chuck the possible clears.

If I can't see anything for sure and they don't stink I'd leave them until one or the other happens.

We took four out last night. One clear, three blood rings. Two we could not agree on so left them in.

.....Alan.

what does the blood ring look like?????
what if there seems to be a darker mass that seems to move when I move the eggs as well?
very new at this.
