help when should I order my broilers

So my daughter is doing meat chickens for the fair. I called myers today to get our birds I cant get them so they will be 9 weeks at fair time . They only had them for the week before or the week after making then 8 weeks or 10 weeks. I dont know what one would be the better one to go with . The only other people we know who have done meat chickens did not make weight and they got them a week before they need to. Thank you for your help we are new to meat chickens.

I'd say go with the 10 weekers at the fair.

The judge at our fair last year said 8 wks was about right. She also said hens usually win over roosters. Of course all fairs are different and ours doesn't have a min/max weight for chickens or rabbits.
