HELP!! Which Auto Door To Buy?

Hi all,

I have read good and bad on two doors. The Ador1 and the Pullet. I decided to ask all of you to vote so I could use your knowledge, I do not have any.

Those seem to be the best ones on the market, so I don't think you can go wrong with either. I am using the Ador1, and it works perfectly, without configuration. All I did was add the battery and attach it.

My chickens are so much happier and calmer/quieter now that they spend more time outside. An automatic door takes all the pain out of owning chickens really. I don't have to go out ther each day except to gather eggs.

I have the Ador1. I don't know anything about the other one. I have been using the Ador for two+ years. Love it. I've had to replace the battery but it wasn't hard. It is so nice to not have to worry about opening and closing the coop door. The girls are happy about that too. They get out when the sun rises and are safely closed in when it sets. It's a great coop feature for the chickens and the chicken keeper

I installed the Ador1 about 2 weeks ago and am very happy with it. I did program it to add the 'Last Call' option.
(opens briefly after first close to let late comers in).
I'm very happy with it.

I was looking at this and the Pullet door. Both seem excellent, but I did not have a set up where I could have a door in the open position at 90d. This would work for many, but not for my opening, (without me tripping on it

).
Mine is actually set up on the inside of my free range door in my secure run.
Other than that, I suspect that I would have been happy with either.

The Ador1 takes a 6v Lantern battery. I believe the Pullet Auto door takes a 12v battery.

The PulletShut requires a 12 volt battery and you must supply the enclosure to house it. Meaning that you need to find an interior shelf to put it on and run a wire from the door to the battery. You will also need a wired light sensor attachment if you choose to go that route. This is one of the things I prefer about the Ador1, both the battery and the light sensor are integrated into the base unit... no wires.
