Hi - completely new to raising chickens...our girls are about 6 weeks old, and one of the white rocks has a ruffled neck due to ugly black growths near the roots of her neck feathers. I though a few days ago it was mites/fleas and prepared to wash and dust them all today. Can't find any info on the web...HELP!! One barred rock also has some neck issues, more like a ruffled neck from an extra flap of skin. The other 28 chickens are looking fin, and these two have been in isolation since we discovered it early this week. What do we do?
