Help! Whole flock fighting!

And about their feed. They eat Purina layena, have 24/7 access to it, and are fed out of the feeder that hangs in the coop. They also free range occasionally, but we only have a 1/2 acre lot, so they don't have a crazy amount of room.

Damage to bird at base of tail could be initiated by herself then flock members start pecking at same exposed area. I associate that with either a form of cannibalism or outright boredom. Latter seems more likely. First thing I would try is to make their environment more exciting. I suspect use of a hawk or fox is outside of consideration but something like a leaf of hay could added periodically so birds can scratch through it and eat a little hear and there. Spread some intact grains like whole corn and BOSS about to give them more to do. Make them work for their eats.

I am not familiar with Rooster Booster but that sounds like a dietary supplement. Your birds look to be in pretty good feather and that is something lost when diet is poor.
