It really depends on the space you have available. If you could put up a wire fence divider possibly in your coop that would work so they can see each other, but he can't get to her. Sometimes people get lucky with a docile drake that bonds to his mate, but in many cases a drake will need 4+ females minimum and that's if he's docile. This is what I have set up as my drake pen. We just moved in a few months back and since we are building a barn specifically for the ducks its nothing fancy being it's temporary until the duck barn is built. It works though and only took a couple hours to put up. It's 8'x9' for my two drakes and then in the evenings when I put the girls away I let them out for an hour or two to jump in the water and forage a little.
