HELP! Why is he doing this?

Hello. Not enough air flow and they put off lots of heat themselves. Brooder to confined. Time for a different set up. They need cold water. Not warm water..

It wasnt super warm but I was told here that cold water could cause them to have seizures or fits and to use room temperature water for them. I assume they're old enough now for regular water. Their upgraded brooder is here but they're a little too small for it still.

Lil ones too hot... They love to cuddle and when you are a fluff ball sitting next to another fluff ball thigs can get hot quick. Do they got enough room to move around? Whenever mine did that excessively (whem they where ducklings) id just get close to them, they would freak out as usual and get up, then normally take a drink of water. They will be ok!!

No more shivering/panting! I turned the A/C up so it's about 70-72 in here. Probably closer to 75 in their brooder since they're cuddling. They're not shivering though so I don't think they're too cold. I also gave him some extra niacin because he for some reason keeps getting stuck on his back like a turtle.

That's good to hear such gorgeous ducklings u have

Glad to hear they are doing good now, but if your lil one is falling over onto it's back that sounds like something else maybe going on.
Are you giving them the B Complex everyday?

I would move them to the larger brooder. Mine were in a huge kiddie pool with plenty of room to move around. Honestly, the more space they have - the mess is easier to clean up because it is not a concentrated space.

Yes they get the B Complex daily in their water, I actually dose higher than I should so they get about 200 mg in their water because of how much gets spilled out and dirtied. Plus two ducklings drinking. If I knew how to dose directly into their mouth I would but I don't want to choke them. They're also on the Purina Flock Raiser that's suggested since it already has niacin added.

If they guzzle cold water they *might* have seizures which is why I suggested giving them warm water. Yesterday and the day before it was 100 degrees here and I still gave my ducklings (all 50 of them) warm water. It doesn't need to be warm all day long, just when you first place it in their brooder which is when they are most likely to guzzle it.

I feel like one of my Pekins is often holding her bill open like that. I'm new to ducks so the first time I forced my finger into her mouth to make sure nothing was stuck in there (happened to our dog once). After that I just watch and everything else she does is normal so I've not done anything about it.

Also, when my Pekins were that age, one of them fell over into her back and she couldn't get up because her wings were still so small.
