HELP! Will a hen raise a duckling?

My hen, Iris, has been setting on some Muscovy eggs that were laid in the coop. Well, at least one has hatched!

Will she accept her deformed chicks, or do I need to rescue them? I honestly didn’t expect this, as 4/7 of the eggs just had dark liquid in them. I must’ve missed one . . .

Mine did, but she had never seen chicks besides her siblings qhen she was a chick. Just keep an eye on them

Did you put them in a separate place? Will the other hens attack the duckling? I’ve never had a problem in the past, but this is new to me!

Nope. My second year of birds was that year and I didn't know you needed to separate hens and babies then. But I'm not sure if we had a rooster that year or just a drake. I think we did though. But the rooster was a sweetheart who just liked having a big flock

But I would seperate. Make sure it has somewhere to drink but can't make a huge mess since the chickens feet can't handle mud as well
