Help with a baby emergency!

Baby chicken emergency... we had one late peeper who was taking her sweet time hatching. We left her in the incubator and ran errands and came home to ANTS in the bator! All over her! So we decided to pull her out and help her finish the job. She was a bit shrink wrapped and we had a hard time getting her out. She's under the heat lamp and still peeping loudly but we are worried! We were not able to get all the membrane off of her, I was in a hurry to get her under the heat lamp. Any suggestions?

as far as the membrane, i would need a pic but id suggest putting a WARM paper towel around him/her and leaving him in the brooder. Honestly, i don't think the ant could have really done much. Just relax and try to get a picture up and ill help you from there.

i would just treat it as any other membrane stuck to chick case. check out this thread and follow the steps and tips to removing the membrane. then treat it as any other chick and you will later begin to see if the ant effected him/her ( i don't think they did) through sickness or physical injuries that you can't tell at this stage.
