Help with a brooder question please

Hello! So my plan is getting my 10’x16’ coop setup in the near future. Is it possible to set up by brooder inside the coop as there will be no other chickens in there. Obviously I’ll have heat and whatnot, but can this be done?
I just don’t see why having a brooder elsewhere when they coop is vacant. Thanks.

As long as they are out of the wind they should do just fine

Yes definitely, it will save you from the chick dander and the poop smell. Make sure your coop is ventilated.

I built a brooder attached to my main coop last spring because I got overwhelmed by the dander, dust, and poop brooding in the house during last winter. I used a heat lamp for my setup.

I like the brooder to be where I will be spending most of the day anyway so it is easy to frequently check on. For me, that's in a workshop.

Not only can this be done, it should be done. The chicks will do so much better with lots of space, fresh air and access to the ground when they are very young.

Brooding in the coop is great!

The chicks have more space, you don't have the mess and odor in your house, and the chicks acclimate naturally to the outdoor conditions.

Yes, and it’s so much easier than brooding indoors.
