Hi there, I just got a baby chick from someone who is in pretty bad shape. I was told that she was picked on so she has lost feathers. However, after examining her .. the feathers are missing on the back... in the wings.. on the neck and belly. A bully bird wouldn’t go for the belly right? These bald spots look really bad. She is only about 3 weeks old.

I have also noticed that she is not eating very well.. and is wheezing. She’s asleep now .. though it is 1034 here and she is very young so that’s normal.

Her poop is green with a little white in it.

I have her separated in her own brooder but it is next to my other brooder of 5 week old so they can share the heat lamp as I only have one.

Any advise is appreciated. I feel so awful for this poor baby.

Also, because you are noting significant potential symptoms of serious illness, the wheezing, I would remove her from proximity to the other chicks immediately. Even in her own brooder, being in the same area is putting them at risk

Do you have a heating pad intended for human use that you could use to provide a warmth source for this chick so that you can move it away from the other chick without having to lose warps from the heat lamp? Alternatively a regular light bulb can often be used to provide enough warmth
