Help with baby chick!!

Hey there! -- Keep an eye on her to see if the other chicks pick on her too much. Sometimes the docile ones/loners become a target. If she gets pecked to the point of blood being drawn, you will have to isolate her in a box within the brooder with her own food and water and with a cool side and warm side available under the brooder just like the other chicks have. This is because once chickens draw blood, they are attracted to it and will continue to peck at the wound. They can do serious damage.-

Also- make sure you are adding vitamin powder (if you got them from a hatchery, they would've included that in the box) and pro-biotic powder in their water as well as a little splash of apple cider vinegar. Does wonders for keeping chicks healthy and helping to prevent pasty butt. You can also give them a little cornmeal in their food now and again.

Good luck with your babies!! Aren't they awesome?! <3

Awe thank you so much!! Surprisingly they aren't picking on her yet. I have been putting vitamin powder in their water and have been serving boiled eggs with grit

A little better each day is all we can hope for sometimes! I think I should have been weighing my runt. I may just be imagining that she is getting bigger. I had a proud moment today for her though. I switched to a nipple waterer in the brooder and the rest of them were having a tough time and getting frustrated and she was the first to figure out how to just peck at it.
