My babies are just 5 weeks old and today i noticed my 2 brahmas, who are the smallest, had all their feathers pecked out along their spine. I immediately separated them from their sisters, but I'm not sure which of the others is the bully. I'm pretty sure the wyandottes (who I've nicknamed the velociraptors) are the problem, but I dont know for sure. They're all too small to put out in the big run with the older hens. Any suggestions / advice would be much appreciated. This is the first time in 5 years that I've ever had this issue.

How big is their brooder? Cramped quarters can lead to this problem. If you are using light on them I suggest changing out to a red light, it may help. Lastly, blukote or simillar to the bald or red areas.

Hi. They are starting to get a little big for their crate so I am getting out 2 more dog crates and separating the groups again. I have 10 total and right now they're in an xxl wire dog crate. The brahmas will be by themselves until they are fully feathered out. No more lights needed, but when I first got them they were under the red heat lamp. Their wing feathers keep the bald spots covered. I only noticed when I was moving them from their indoor crate to their outdoor portable pen.
Thanks for your reply.
