Hi again Miss Lydia. I sent you a PM about one of the ducklings wheezing and open mouth breathing. I'm pretty sure I sent it several times cuz I can't seem to hit the right buttons. Sorry.
I've made a video of his wheezing and another of his open mouth breathing but I can't get it to download. (The tutorial directions made absolutely no sense to me) I've switched to desktop one phone and I'm just waiting on it to finish. Grrrrr. Is there another way I could send it? In an email or if you have a website of your own?
What he's doing may make sense to you w/o the video anyway. He sounds like he's on a respirator! That dry sounding click the baffle makes when it gets to the top or bottom of the canister. Make sense? No runny eyes or nose, in fact dry or dusty has been my thought, so they have a jar of water they dunk their head in. I've added the nutri-drench and they're none to happy with me for it. Just took them outside for a roly poly hunt and that was much fun! He didn't tire or have any trouble beating sis to the bugs. But then, she's kind of a doofus.... And let's not forget my brilliant idea of giving them Cheerios, then turning my back on them with a whole jar 10 feet away. He showed signs of one going down the wrong way, then shook it off. Brilliant move mom.
The only thing weird at this point is his breathing. They're off the grow light and the temps here are in the mid '60. Theyre in my garage so they're in mid '70. Without any discharge and having plenty water to dunk in, I don't know where to go with this. I don't want to do tetracycline if it's nothing. ???
