Help with baby wood ducks found

Here in tn you do not have to have a permit to care for any fowl except hawks and eagles and my license is pending

That is wrong based upon Federal law...check the 50 CFR regs....and a pending license does not make if legal.

OK well sorry to burst your bubble but both my parents are game wardens and they have a animal rehabilitation Center :) so I do have the necessary paperwork

I personally think a lot of the posts on this thread is of NO HELP to the original question. What if the ducklings die within the next few days because some people want to debate instead of giving actual information... A license/permit (legalities) has nothing at all to do with the next few steps this person has to take to ensure that they live. If someone cares enough to debate about the legal issues of which waterfowl can be owned in which states then why dont you start a thread on that subject and debate there (which is a good idea) and leave the helpful information that pertains to this thread's question.
I apologize that this is rude, but I am sick of seeing debating throughout this forum. It is not helpful at all and it ruins such a wonderful informative site.

So if your your parents are game wardens, you should know about the 50 CFRs and not post wrong information.

Ad I dont mean to be rude when i say that clint and i were discussing legal terms and this thread has plenty of useful info so if she doesnt ask specifics then she has a good deal of great info and sources right there. And as i said before not meaning to be rude but YOU have given us no useful info either. So please dont point fingers:)

Yes.. take no notice of all the petty arguing please.

How are the little ducklings?

I am sure no one is going to lock you in jail for rescuing 2 baby ducks! You are not a wildlife smuggler or catching them to sell to people.

If you can take good care of them and they are doing well. .then raise them to adults and then release them. Make sure you don't get them too tame or it will be hard for them to survive in the wild. (unless you take them down to a local city pond where people go to feed the ducks).
