I have a duckling who had trouble hatching and hatched with a small bill deformity and weak legs. It was doing all right, but now I think it's developed pneumonia. It breathes with its mouth open and I hear crackling noises.

Does anyone know what dosage I should give it of 10% enrofloxacin? And how best to administer it? The duckling weighs 2.05 oz.

Thank you!

Add 0.5 ml enrofloxacin to 9.5 distilled water. It must be distilled because enrofloxacin binds with the calcium in tap or bottled water.

0.5 ml enrofloxacin + 9.5 distilled water = 10 ml at 5 mg/ml

2.05 ounces = ~58 grams
0.058 x 15 / 5 = 0.174 ml twice a day
