Help with breed and gender please (:

Right now I'm not sure on breed, maybe in a couple of weeks when they have a better feather pattern. It is also to young to sex for sure but 1 and 2 look like cockerels, is the last picture a different chick?

Yeah the last one is a different chick. It has stripes all around its body unlike the other ones they only have patchy black stripes

Where did they come from (hatchery or breeder) and how old are they? My first thought is they're barnyard mix with some barred ancestry. 1 and 4 pics may be cockerels, but not positive.

I think they have cornish in them and are roosters. I can't quite tell you though

These chicks I got from a livestock auction. No idea where they came from. I got them when they were maybe 4 days old. Right now I would say they are a month and a half old.

I learned about auctions when you are buying. I learned they sell unwanted roosters and old laying hens.I was pretty bummed out at first when I found out most of my chickens are cockerials. I had no knowledge about chickens. I'm young and wanted to start my flock and 75 percent are roosters.

I would say all cockerels except for the last one. As for the breeds, I honestly have no idea ^u^''
