Help with breed guessing

Also, from the size of the comb "Peter" may be a roo

I will get more photos. We thought out of all of them Peter looked like a roo because she has the biggest comb so far. What do you look for on the wings?

Thanks for asking on the wings of a female the feathers should be different sizes... it will go from small to high to small or high to small or small to high lol but on a male all of the feathers should be the same length or very very close. If you look at "Peter built" you will see the feathers from small to high to small which indicates female.Now when you look at "spider man " you will see all about the same size feathers and a higher comb.Peter has a a big comb

But again you will never have a 100% way. No way is completely accurate until they are fully grown

I understand that. Just want to see if we should try and get a few more to push the hen numbers up. If we had a couple more should they be the same age as these or doesn't it matter?

from my advice I would get the same age if you are putting them in together with these guys or there will probably be a pecking order problems. Chickens can't tell age but they can tell size. Also if you are separating them if you get more I would also separate the roos because more than one roo together will tend to fight quite often, but if you are free ranging it's not as big of a deal with the roos. Its your choice if you want to add new birds at different ages. But if you do different ages there will be fights and pecking going on
