My five baby girls arrived yesterday. Being brand new to all of this I don't know what breed they are except that they are all suppose to be of the following:

Rhode Island Red
New Hampshire Red
Red Star
Speckled Sussex
Dark Cornish
Light Brahma
Australorp
Buff Orpington
Dominique
Barred Plymouth Rock
White Plymouth Rock
Partridge Plymouth Rock
Delaware
Golden Laced Wyandotte
Silver Laced Wyandotte
Columbian Wyandotte
Black Jersey Giant

I know it is very difficult to judge at this age but any experienced folks out there have an idea what breeds these might be?

1. Medium yellow color with medium yellow wing tip feathers. No other markings

4. Buff and auburn color. Dark brown spot on back of head and another in the middle of back. Darker auburn/brown stripe running down the back. Multi-colored wing tip feathers.

5. Black and tan color. Has the most melodic chirp, like a song bird.

If you get no joy with this, perhaps you could repost it in the 'what breed/gender' section, rather than the 'raising baby chicks' section.
Sorry I can't help, I'm kind of new to chicks.

the first chick looks like a buff orpington, the two buff/reddish chicks(1 and 4) look like rhode island reds but they could be new hamphire reds, and the last on looks like a barred rock....I am not sure on the 3rd chick. good luck with your chicks!

What a cute batch of chicks.....first one is BO.....they are so sweet. I had one named Ethel who grew up to be Fred! Reddish ones are RIRs or NH.....I have 2 of each and they are awesome.....friendly, talkative and lay like champs....all business. Not sure about the white one.....last one barred rock or maybe australorp. Enjoy every minute....it's so much fun...one of the best things I ever did. And be careful, you'll want more....1 year in and I'm hatching eggs and getting a few chicks in the mail!

1 and 3 possibly buff Orpingtons.
2 and 4 Rhode Island red or New Hampshire red
5 no idea

Re post when they start getting a little bit of feathering. You will be able to tell better then.
