I picked this little hen up a few weeks ago. I’m a new chicken Mom and don’t know how to identify all the breeds. I’d like to know what kind of chicken she is. Thank you!

In the sun there is a green sheen to her black feathers.

I agree with Australorp or maybe black Jersey giant.

Do you know that she is a purebred? Many crosses are solid black as that black is dominant color. If you know she is pure then check the bottoms of her feet. White/Pink = Australorp, Yellow = Jersey Giant.
