I can't really see anything when candeling my eggs. Why is this ? They are 3 days old, no veins, nothing but *I THINK* a tiny darkspot.

You won't see anything because they are only three days old!

Most people candle at day 7 (for light colored eggs) or day 10 (for dark eggs).

Give it a few more days and candle again. Anything that doesn't have veins by day 10 is a dud.

Good luck!

This is a newbie question also, haven't tried to candle because Im not breeding, but how do you know if the eggs are fertile and to incubate them if you cant see anything until day 7?

You can crack a egg or two open and look for the bullseye. And you really can see veins in your eggs on day 4-5. Just make sure you have a decent flashlight.
