I have a 2 year old hen who is acting funny today. She happily and quickly came out of the run for free range time today, but I noticed that then she was just standing around outside and puffing up her chest and tucking her head down like a turtle. I thought her crop might be impacted because of how puffy she made her breast/neck, but I checked and her crop feels completely normal. She is pooping relatively normal poops. She ran away when I tried to catch her and also followed me when I had a bag of treats, but when she is just hanging out she is frozen. I have never seen a chicken puff out their neck like this, and I'm wondering if it's a sign of something. I have isolated her and removed food source. She's just standing in the cage. I haven't yet checked internally to see if she's egg bound. Yesterday she seemed totally fine. It appears like her crop would be impacted, but she straightens her neck out and it's not! Please help!

Hi, my chicken had a similiar situation. Her neck looked like this. Not active, liquid green-white poop and not eating. I gave her some multi-vitamins, and a little vitamin E and raw eggs. I gave her a raw egg every day using a syringe. I also force-fed her with rich food 2 twice a day. Gave ger water too. About two week she went back to normal.
