This has been going on for two weeks now. I’m located in Virginia. Her previous owner could no longer keep her and the rest of the flock. It’s been about three weeks that I had them with no issues. she’s the only one showing these symptoms. I already asked if she’s had these symptoms before and they said she was healthy. I also don’t have no plants that are toxic but they do free range. I also usually only give them fresh fruit occasionally. I know the previous owner did only feed them scratch grain and veggies/fruits. But I changed the diet since I know having scratch grains as an everyday meal isn’t good. So the chicken is currently eating from the brand NatureWise and I also give her rooster booster in her water.
She’s about 2 months old. The first week she couldn’t walk on one of her legs so I thought she sprained it. During the first week she had curled toes but now they are straight. Her legs are weak and she can’t stand on them. She has tried to move by pushing up on her hocks instead of standing on her feet, and after that effort she goes into a seizure.
Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do.
