I got 6 older (2 -3 yrs, I think) chickens about 2 weeks ago and am enjoying them immensely. I have found this website very helpful. A few days ago, though one of them got quote weak (can't sit on the roost), won't eat and just sits with her head tucked into her wing. She doesn't seem to have any other symptoms, no weird poop, no hard mass, no coughing, no distress. I moved her to a warm place by herself with some yogurt and olive oil and will ask at the feed store today for antibiotics. Any other advice?

Welcome to BYC. Sometimes when chickens move to new soil they can be exposed to a new strain of coccidiosis that they haven't developed immunity to. Corid or Amprol is the best treatment. You may have to buy your Amprol at your vet in Canada. Treatment is for 5 days in the water. I would also worm your new chickens with fenbendazole, a goat and cattle worm medicine. If you can't find that at a feed store, than try getting levamisole. Since these hens are older, they can be prone to laying problems such as internal laying or egg yolk peritonitis. Sometimes they will lie around, not eat, lose weight, and may have diarrhea or yellow poops. Egg yolk peritonitis is usually fatal, and hens may also develop ascites or fluid in the belly. They may walk like a penguin. Many of those first symptoms sound like coccidiosis, so I would treat for that first, then worm, and start them on probiotics in their water. A small amount of buttermilk added to feed or some bread would be good for probiotics if you can't find any. Here is some reading about egg yolk peritonitis:

Here is a link from Casportpony on Amprollium dosage:

The preventative dose (.006%) for Corid Powder is 1/3 teaspoon.
The preventative dose (.006%) for Corid liquid is 1/2 teaspoon.

The moderate outbreak dose (.012%) for Corid Powder is 3/4 teaspoon.
The moderate outbreak dose (.012%) for Corid liquid is 1 teaspoon.

The severe outbreak dose (.024%) for Corid Powder is 1.5 teaspoons
The severe outbreak dose (.024%) for Corid liquid is 2 teaspoon.
