Help with ducks in shock after attack

Hi, a ferret recently attacked my 3 year old Khaki Campbell's. Unfortunately 3 didn't make it but 4 did with minor wounds. I have brought them inside, treated their cuts but they seem to be in shock, they will only drink if I hold the water to their beaks and are not interested in food. They seem so sad and are very quiet. Has anyone experienced this? How long did it last? Is there anything more I can do to support them? Poor babies must have been petrified. The attack was 2 days ago. Please help

I've had this on occasion...I pretty much just made sure food and water was always there, kept a consistent routine, spent a little bit more time with them, and if I remember right, they slowly improved over the course of a week.

Be sure to inspect every square inch for cuts, swelling, and bruising.

They are traumatized. That can take days to recover from. Are they in the same place where they were attacked? That can be stressful for them. They need to be checked, as Kathy wrote, and kept away from flies, that will lay eggs in wounds.

Electrolytes and vitamins in the water can help.

Thanks for your replies. Its been a week now since the attack, their wounds are healing and they are eating more. They are still quiet with their heads down but I think they are slowly recovering. I didn't keep them where they were attacked for that very reason that they may get stressed. I've kept them indoors as i want them to heal, like you said away from flies and other infection. I have now secured the pen and cemented any small gaps. I have been taking them outside for walks to re-introduce them to the garden and I am hoping they can go home over the weekend.
