Hey all,
My roo Henry has been limping around for the last couple weeks. It started I thought when he jumped off the perch to tell the hens it was bedtime. At least this is when I first started noticing his limp. I took a few pictures and not sure if anybody could go off whether this is bumblefoot or scaly leg mites. I've been researching all night and have had no positive convincing post telling me it could be either. I was also thinking since he is a french maran, possibly the feathers coming in on his feet can be causing the discomfort. His comb is a bit discolored as well which told me possibly mites, but the other hens pick at eachother at night on the roost. Any advice would be much appreciated :)

I've never raised chickens so can't say from personal experience but that looks like leg mites to me

Hey Kevin,

I was wondering because I had seen mites before, but never on my flock. Not sure if the picture shows clearly enough, but where the feathers are coming through on his feet, it looks painful. However I believe there's something more to it then that. I forgot to mention earlier also his legs are pink in certain areas which I'm not sure is a common thing with copper marans.
