Help with gender and breed please. I would be grateful.

These are my 5 year old daughters class project ( living eggs )
She is looking forward to raising them as are all of our children ( there are 8 )
We would like any information you could give us please as this is our first exciting time at raising chickens..

the top two pics appear to be road island reds. I also have two of those a little older than yours. the third one down is an old english black breasted red, from the looks of it. the last one looks like a black sex link but I'mn not too sure on that one. as far as the sex goes, you'll know in a couple weeks. that part is half the fun!

The first two appear to be RIR and the third a EE, not sure of the fourth pic.

I think the forth looks like Black Australorp. Send pics again when they are more feathered out.

The first two are RIR or production reds. The third is definitely an easter egger - I have several that look just like that. No clue on the fourth.

not sure about the EE verdict... no puffy cheeks, looks like yellow legs,hard to tell, but not green... and it looks smaller than the one in the first pic... I might lean more towards the OEGB. but time will tell...
