Help with Gender

We have 2 Silver Laced Wyandottes, I am scared both are Roos. They look so different than our Orpingtons so I can’t be sure. They are 5 1/2 weeks old now. Anyone have guesses?

Orps can be slower maturing than many breeds... but you ARE correct that at 5 1/2 weeks old sporting those red combs they are indeed cockerels. Both of them.

No guessing needed... I make an experienced assessment. And those guys are pulling any punches to keep us guessing.

Hi and welcome! Unfortunately those are cockerels! They will turn out pretty when they are full grown roos!
