Our most social of our last batch of chicks has a much redder/more developed comb than our other olive egger of the same age (the white/blue splash colored one behind) 15 weeks old this week. Does it look like a cockerel? I am unsure because I don’t really see hackle or saddle feathers.

The rounded hackle and saddle feathers, along with the red comb, indicate a pullet thats getting closer to egg laying age. You should have some olive eggs from her in the next few weeks!

Thank you! I was thinking she didn’t have the pointy hackle/saddle feathers of a roo, but her comb is so much different from our other Olive Egger from the same hatchery. I guess they are just different breed mixes!
