Help with hatching goose eggs.

Hi. I have been incubating two embden goose eggs that I received from my neighbor. I have hatched chicken and duck eggs, but never goose eggs. I have a mini incubator so I have to turn the monster eggs by hand and I do this 5 times daily. The temperature is at 99.5*F and I don't have a way to read the humidity, but there is a little condensation on the glass, so I assume it's good. I sprinkle the eggs daily with warm water. Am I doing everything right? If y'all have any tips id love to hear!

this is one egg at a couple hours shy of four days. Is this what a fertile egg should look like at this stage?

looks fertile, don't know your humidity? I have found 'dry hatch' seems to work better... try to keep it below 45% if possible... When I did the higher humidity and sprinkling, my eggs did not hatch well....condensation is not a way to tell, but if I get condensation, it is usually way too high. You need to figure out your humidity. They don't need as much as duck eggs.... and even those I am hatching at a lower humidity than the books 'say'... I get better results.... FWIW

Thanks so much for the info! I'm on day 6 now and they're still looking good. What would I have to buy to read the humidity %? And where could I buy it?

Look up some of the Incubator websites here, or like Murray or Strombergs or anyone who sells incubators, even Amazon. It needs to be very accurite and one that reads humidity too, if you can. One that is made for incubating....

Just set five African develop goose eggs. Temps are at 37.5c humidity temp is 70. I read that it will take 28 to 34 days to hatch. This is the first time for me, had previously hatched chickens. Now I noticed that some recommend lower humidity. This is my first day. Should I lower the humidity.
