Help with hen: soft, large crop but won't go!

I took my 2yr old hen to the vets. She's had a large breast for a few weeks but seems happy, although she doesn't run around as much as she did. She had a large but soft crop. The vet tried to massage the crop but no vomit and I've not been successful either.

Her crop area is bald and the vet has said it's likely that her muscles in the crop have given up and that she's likely to deteriorate slowly, suggesting I keep an eye on her and keep giving her apple vinegar.

Just wondered if anyone has experience of this and if I should be trying anything else, or if there's a chance it could be something else?

Just seems a bit sad that a few weeks ago she was fine and now she's not (especially as she seems ok).

I have no experience with a crop problem, but have often seen it discussed here. So, I did a search for crop stasis, which may be her problem. Sour crop is another term, maybe for much the same thing. I found lots of threads and thought I'd pass these 3 along. I hope it helps.
