Can anyone help me identify these 3 week old pullets? I purchased them at a farm store and I told the employee that I wanted buff orpingtons. When I got home and set up, Their wing feathers are obviously coming in white with black stripes and splotches. The smaller chick is a two week old rooster and he does have buff wing feathers. I greatly appreciate any input.

Thank you, I will be watching them closely and posting new photos. I have seen some Delaware pullets that are the same age and look very similar, could this be a possibility?

I did just get back from a return trip to the feed store. They tell me that they are pretty sure that they are light brahma's. What do you all think?

I did forget to mention that the pullets do have feathers coming in on their legs. Does this help?

Yes, with feathered legs, they could be Light Brahmas. What kind of comb do they have? Brahmas have a pea comb.

They do have tiny pea combs. Any other opinions would be greatly appreciated too though.

My boyfriend has so fallen in love with the first four, that he sent me back for four more. According to the labels on their pens, I brought home 2 Partridge Rock pullets and 2 black sex link pullets. They have joined my little BO roo and 3 ??? light brahma??? pullets. I would be interested to learn about anyone's personal experience with these breeds. I've posted a couple of links for photos of the 3 to date mystery hens and still would like to hear more about them as well.
