Hi All! First time incubating with a Janoel 12 and I am at a loss. My unit reads maxed out at 40 C and my thermometer is only reading 91.6 F. What gives here??

I have purchased another therm and have read all day... should I use the middle of reading?

Harder than I expected or either i’m losing brain cells at a mere 39 years old.

The reading on a digital incubator is only a SET UP reading. It shows you a window of where to more or less set up your incubator. Aux meters help me find the temp I desire from there. Also when you see a change in temp on the incubator, trust aux meters, not incubator meters.
To check and see if your aux meters are properly calibrated, fill a glass to the rim with ice, then water to the rim. It should read exactly 32*F. This is how the food industry calibrates thermometers for precise readings for public safety interests for safe temps to kill bacteria in food for human consumption.
