Help with mites!!!!

I bought a 2 lb duster of Permthrin Poultry and Garden dust. (thats what the local store had) There isn't much for directions on the bottle. I have 8 chickens and need to get rid of the mites from the chickens and coop. Can I apply to chickens? Will this stuff kill my kids?

Yes, apply it directly to the chickens and clean the coop and apply in all hiding places/cracks in wood in the coop area as well. See this post for more tips on dusting chickens:

It won't kill your kids, but don't let them lick it up just in case. (Try not to breathe in large amounts of it either.)

FYI - Eprinex is an easier solution for the future if you can get your hands on some.

If you have free range chickens or they have a favorite dusting area. put some in there too that way it get into all the crevisis..
